The Lone Star Cafe and Bar is the latest addition to the fantastic array of Inner Harbour eateries.
Known for its focus on excellent service, great atmosphere and a top spot for the whole family, the 80-seat operation will be the 20th Lone Star in New Zealand. The first Lone Star opened in 1988 in Christchurch with fun and value for money very much in their sights. That remains their raison d’etre, with plenty of Lone Star specials added to their menu over the years. Perfect for an after work drink, snacks with mates, a romantic dinner for two or celebrating with the family... there’s a spot for them all at Lone Star.

When they say fresh battered fish – they mean fresh off the boats, into their own special batter, and then into your take-out pack or gourmet burgers. Think ciabatta buns, deli-style relishes and all the gourmet trimmings at a reasonable price. Over the summer months you can pull up a chair at the picnic table outside and enjoy watching the boats come in, or pick up their goodies and head down to the beach. For those keen to create their own gourmet delicacies, Real Fresh has all sorts of fresh fish and seafood available. If you truly believe fresh is best then a call by Real Fresh and Off the Hook should be on your ‘must do’ list.

The Wharf has become an icon of the Gisborne dining scene known for top quality food and service, with a wine list to match.
This popular eatery has a magical maritime appeal day and night. The menus reflect the best of Tairawhiti’s abundant fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat. It’s the perfect spot to catch up with old mates, share a platter and bottle of wine, but just as much fun to watch the sun go down over a beautiful working wharf with historic Poverty Bay as a backdrop.
