Vessels calling into Eastland Port are required to obtain clearance from the New Zealand Customs Service and Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. Whilst this is usually arranged by the ships Agent, information on the regulatory requirements can be viewed below.
New Zealand Customs Service
This section of our website is to help with Customs requirements for craft visiting New Zealand.
See Arriving in New Zealand for information for travellers about Customs formalities, import restrictions and prohibitions, and allowances.
See Departing from New Zealand for information for travellers about Customs requirements, and export restrictions and prohibitions.
Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries
These documents set out the requirements for international airports and ports, craft arriving in New Zealand from overseas and facilities where uncleared imported cargo or quarantine refuse is processed or treated.
If you download and print the documents you will notice that many of the documents have a draft stamp on them. This means that those documents have not yet been put into their standard format for placement on the MAF Website. However, you are welcome to view them as they do give an indication of what the standard is likely to finally look like.
