Eastland Port

Welcome to Eastland Port Limited

Eastland Port is the nation's most easterly commercial port, sitting almost right in the heart of Gisborne city.

It's a busy port that encompasses commercial ships who head all over the world with logs, squash, kiwifruit and other product. The port also has an inner harbour marina filled with pleasure craft of all shapes and sizes, and a solid commercial fishing fleet.

In recent years the port has cemented itself as the second busiest log exporter in New Zealand. Monthly log exports towards the end of 2008 were averaging 74,000 tonnes, putting it second only to Tauranga.

Cafes, restaurants, businesses, clubs and shops are nestled around the inner harbour area which is a popular haunt for locals and tourists. It's a beautiful spot with sneaked views of Poverty Bay and Young Nicks Head, with historic Kaiti Hill – Titirangi – overlooking the area.

Eastland Group, who own the port, are keen to continue to create a vibrant and fun place for the whole community in the inner harbour area, and in the process of seeking feedback on the on-going development of the area while finding a healthy balance with the commercial reality of the commercial side of the port.
