This is being achieved by management committing to implementing systems, and providing the time and resources to educate and train staff and contractors on environmental issues. Our environmental commitment is being built into our stated performance standards. In this way, we ensure the Eastland Group and its operating companies adhere to sound environmental practices at all times and that the environment is managed in a sustainable way.

In addition we consult with the local community on their concerns, aspirations and values, and ensure the local environment and heritage is being respected and historic places and artifacts are being preserved. Whilst we have formal consultation processes, we aim to always be approachable. We see this as a vital part of building and strengthening our relationships with our stakeholders.
